Hello bstar,
To open a VI created before LabVIEW 6.0 in LabVIEW 8.5 or later, you must convert the VI to any LabVIEW version from 6.0 to 8.2.1. National Instruments recommends upgrading to LabVIEW 8.2.1 because it is the version of LabVIEW closest to the current version.
You find more information about converting vi's to different versions of LabVIEW on the following link: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/8387
Contact your local NI representative or NI Support to acquire a free evaluation version of LabVIEW 8.2.1.

Dear Sir
I develop labivew program to control my Flow meter/controller using VISA from Bronkhorst. The instrument what I am using is F-230M-AAD-33-Z is the model key (HI-TEC Model F-230M-AAD-33-Z Multi-Bus DMFC (A)). According to the ASCII code given in the documentation I did the following codes for set point and Measurement request respectively.
: 06800101217D00\r\n
: 06800401210120\r\n
I first used to purge using nitrogen and at the same time to see the flow of the nitrogen. I set 25bar pressure for Nitrogen, and send set point to the instrument to open the valve 100%, I received the status message from the read buffer VISA: 0480000005 which is OK. But the error message was
-1073807339 which I didn’t understand
And when I try to measure the valve and send request as above I get status message from read buffer VISA: 06800201210000 and 1073676294 error status. I didn’t measure any pressure out neither in my electronic pressure sensor nor pressure gauge. Even if the set point status message looks OK but the valve is not opened. So this is to request your Kind Assistance with my troubles.

Hi,
This post is from years ago, but is there any chance you're still active? I have a Labview program that I've been able to test and know works, but can't get the connection through my cRIO port to communicate with my Bronkhorst MFC. Where you ever able to figure this out?
