Total Time RIO Has been working in it's lifetime

Hi,

I'm in need of a method to track how long a RIO (sbRIO) has been in use (working) within it's lifetime (not just one session). I know that I could increment this time information in a specific file in the RIO's disk drive, but I'm wondering if there is a register that is already doing this in the RTOS.

Also if you are aware of a better method than storing this in a file, I welcome your opinion!

Regards

Artur

Hi,

As far as I am aware, there isn't a register that holds this information. It seems that the only way to do it is manually as you mentioned, however if the power goes down the time info will be corrupted.

If you have one of the NI LinuxRT based sbRIOs, you could try installing something like tuptime.

Cheers!
