Target and Devices option not available

Solved!
Go to solution

I have newly installed the LabVIEW 2017 evaluation version. I wanted to use the LabVIEW for interfec with cRIO 9022. I was able to obtain the device in NI MAX (remote systems). But when I tried to add the device in the project, I could not do as the "target and Device" option in the right click of the project name icon was not available.

Could I get a solution to obtain the icon in the LabVIEW project.

Thank you.

Did you install that cRIO drivers that are compatible with LabVIEW 2017?  Did you install the LabVIEW RealTime and LabVIEW FPGA toolkits?

I second crossrulz advice, and add that there is an order you need to install in:

1. LabVIEW

2. LabVIEW Toolkits / Modules (Real-Time, FPGA)

3. Drivers (CompactRIO)

If you installed CompactRIO first it could also lead to this behavior.

Yeah sir I had installed. I found the solution.

Actually Real time tool box 2017 is compatible only for 32bit LabVIEW.

So, I had to install 32 bit 2017 LabVIEW along with Real time windows 17.0, FPGA toolbox and then the CRIO driver 2017.

Thank you
