Powering cDAQ 9178 off of an external power supply

Solved!
Go to solution

I'd like to power my cDAQ-9178 using an external 12 V power supply and not using the power supply provided by the manufacturer. Is there a way to safely connect my external power supply to the cDAQ-9178 to do this or does NI sell a connection with flying leads that I can connect to my power supply? I want to do this because I am placing my DAQ in a weatherproof container and I will not be able to easily run my power supply outside the container when it is closed.

Your cDAQ chassis should have come with a screw terminal connector for the power.  If you lost it, give your local rep a call.
