I am using crio 9076 to control a system. I want to implement PID control to the system.Input is from RS232 serial port.
Please help me with how to use crio and PID advanced block.

hi nehap,
did you have a look in the example finder? there are several PID examples.
and if you are new to crio, you should have a look at http://www.ni.com/pdf/products/us/fullcriodevguide.pdf
and work through the online training (Real-Time 1 and 2) (requires you to have SSP which you have if you bought labview/crio/rt) http://sine.ni.com/myni/self-paced-training/app/main.xhtml

hii,
Thanks for replying.
I have gone through the examples and the tutorial. I am from mechanical background and first time user of these electrical components, so was finding it tough to use.
Almost all the examples given are in FPGA mode, whereas i have to use the cRIO in scan mode. Please help.
Also, I have to connect the cRIO to stepper drive(which will be actuator)

there are several examples for plain labview,
there are also examples for *RIO which use FPGA, but just ignore those
edit:
i used the simple PID.vi, put it in a loop, thats (almost) it
