NI 9683 compilation Time

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi all,

These days I'm working with NI 9683 GPIC for motor controlling purposes, but for a very simple block diagram which is just dealing with turning one digital output on/off, the compiling time goes to infinity, I mean the FPGA most of the time for synthesis and other steps requires a lot of time (some times up to 4 hours!) and this problem made the project development frustrating for me.
here is attached my project block diagram. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or this timing behavior for compiling is normal!
Thanks in advance.

Can you give us your project and code and we'll compile it out here to verify how long it takes?

I don't have the ISE compiler on my dev computer but I was able to compile your project in the cloud in <5 min. Are you using the latest version of NI FPGA, Xilinx ISE, etc?
