How to ping android phone with NI cRIO

Hello,

Is it possible to ping android phone which is connected on same routher as NI cRIO ? I am using TCP/IP Open Connection block. I only need to know if specific android device is connected to my wifi network.

I can "ping" my computer from NI cRIO if i select port i choose in VI server TCP/IP protocol, i can "ping" routher if i choose port 80, but i can not ping my phone....

Can you help me ?

Hi Rodoljub,

There aren't built in functions that will provide you the functionality of ping.

What cRIO do you use? If you use  NI 9068 that runs Linux RT,you have command line that you can call.

My suggestion is to look up what RT OS is your cRIO running and implement the ping depending on it.
