Compressing files into a zip file on a cRIO, losses last character in the extension

Hi,

When I create a zip file the file I compress end up losing the last character in the extension.

e.g. creating a zip file "2012-01.zip" and choose to compress the file "2012-01.txt", it result in a file "2012-01.zip" containing a file called "2012-01.tx"....

Doing this on my computer it seems to work fine wothout this bug. Anyone with the password to the zip-files vi's that can tell me why this happen on my RT target?

I use LV2010 and my RT application run on a cRIO 9074.

Hi

I was able to reproduce it and seems to be a bug in the LabVIEW 2010 that causes this,  I tested it in  LabVIEW 2011 and it seems to be fixed in in that version.

So the solution is to upgrade to 2011 or use the workaround you found
