Hello, 

My name is Nour. I am currently working on a project which requires force control to be done on linear motors. At the moment we have CompactRIO-9064 and the modules NI-9472, NI-9215 und NI-9205. I am getting to know the project and confused about how exactly can the cRIO be used, i.e: can it be as the controller to the motor drives? In a nutshell I would like to briefly know how can the cRIO be used in combination with motors and sensors in order to do a control feedback loop.

Hey Nour,

I would recommend checking out the LabVIEW for CompactRIO Developer's Guide 

Especially the Interfacing to NI or Third-Party Hardware section where the interfacing with motion products is mentioned.

You can also look into the FPGA and Real-Time courses that are currently available free online because of the pandemic.
