Cannot set time on cdaq 9135 running Linux Real Time

Tried every NI option found on internet except for updating the ini file. When clicking on restart the real time system the calendar appears ghosted and then disappears. A message then appears stating "Checking the target for permissions". After a prolonged time interval with a message "Waiting for "172.22.11.2" a timeout message appears stating "The system cannot communicate with the external server (172.22.11.2). Notification codes: (1, GATEWAY_TIMEOUT, 172.22.11.2)

Typing in the date from the command line on the controller consistently displays the UTC time after trying to set the localtime using the command line. Commands appear to work in that no error is given.

Error sounded like an Ethernet issue. I plugged in Ethernet cable along with the USB cable which was allowing communication thru MAX for all other communication and now I can set time thru MAX. So the solution was to use an Ethernet connection to set time & date.
