Can I use a battery as power supply for compactRIO?

I'm designing an autonomous monitoring system, a vehicle with a PTZ Cam and some sensors, attached to tracks, and CompatRIO and it's modules could be ideal to control this system  (maybe cRIO 9073), but it's tracks are quite long (a 500m circumference), so I'm gonna use wireless transmission (WAP 3711). Can I use 24 VDC battery, like a car battery for example, to power the cRIO?

Also, I would like to know if the motion modules NI 9514/9516 are compatible with Mitsubishi servo motors.

Thanks for any help

Vitor

Hi Vitor,

For your first question: you can use the 24 VDC battery to power the cRIO, but the battery should be whitin the power requirements of the cRIO controller, this requirements can seen in the controller cRIO manual.

For the second question: If the servo motors are within the specifications in the module manual 9514/9516, you can use them without any problem.

Then send you the link to the controller cRIO manual and modules manual.
