Can I acquire a 4-20 mA signal or a 0-10 V signal on a NI 9235 module

I currently have a NI 9235 (strain guage) and a NI 9422(digital) module. I need to acquire a current signal(4-20mA) from a pressure sensor and a voltage signal(0-10V) from a distance sensor. Is is possible to do it using the current modules I have? I know that NI 9205 would be sufficient, but I was still wondering if I can work with what I have.

Hi Varun_Rana,

Unfortunately you would not be able to use the 9422 to make any analog acquisition. The 9235 has a max voltage input of 29.4 mV (since it is a strain gage measurement device). Therefore, if you can be sure that the voltage generated by your current signal is within this max voltage (will require external circuitry), you can use the 9235 for measurement. However, I would not suggest doing this, and I would suggest using the 9205, like you mentioned.

Best regards,
