CAT6 ethernet cable can be used in cRIO 9004?

Can I use a CAT6 Ethernet cable for connecting cRIO 9004 controller to a ethernet hub?

The CAT6 cable is backward compatible. So, it should work.

My cRIO controller is not getting displayed in MAX. I am using cRIO 9004 with NI RIO-3.5 version. I have connected controller via a Standard Ethernet cable to an ethernet hub.

When I am connecting controller with my PC it is coming under Remote systems with IP as 0.0.0.0, but in its network settings and other tabs it is not giving options for setting its IP.

I have tried by making the REset IP switch and the safe Mode switch ON.

But then also its not showing!!!

First make Reset IP switch off. Then switch safe mode on and reboot the controller. Force a static IP for your host computer.

Now, when the cRIO controller has rebooted, go to MAX and change the settings to static and put an IP in the same subnet

as your computer, the way you had selected it. Put the safe mode switch in off position before your controller reboots.

Additionally, turn off all firewall and antivirus applications running in the background.
