ROS Subscriber in LabVIEW - Delay Receiving Messages

Hello, I've used the Github LabVIEW code to create a ROS node, and am able to subscribe to a topic, but there's a huge delay. The ROS topic is publishing at about 20Hz, but the code keeps timing out when reading from the FIFO queue.  Anyone have any thoughts?  

I am able to receive this semi-reliable data on both a PC and on a cRIO, but experience the same delay on both.
