NI RF Phase-Coherent Multi-Channel 1.2.2

Introduction

Reference software for performing phase-coherent multi-channel signal generation and acquisition with NI RF products.

Phase-coherent multi-channel in this case means each channel shares a single LO source and are all tuned to the same RF frequency.

Version 1.2.2 fixes an issue in the Acquisition software that could cause low memory option analyzers to experience a buffer overflow during stream-to-disk operation.

Changes from 1.2.1

  • Fixes an issue in the Acquisition software that could cause low memory option analyzers to experience a buffer overflow during stream-to-disk operation.

Changes from 1.2

  • Fixes a bug in the Generation software that caused single generation (i.e. non-looped) playback to generate part of the file twice, and output signal for a period of time longer than that represented by the data in the recorded file.

Changes from 1.1

  • Skip NI-TClk configuration for single-channel use cases. This is not a fix for anything, rather a clarification that you don't need Ni-TClk for single channel usage.
  • As a followon to the previous bullet, now use NI-RFSA/NI-RFSG Initiate for single-channel usage instead NI-TClk Initiate
  • Improved interface for In-Band Retuning functionality. The user specifies a upconverter/downconverter Center Frequency for all channels (since they share an LO) and also specifies a digital OSP shift for each individual channel if so desired. The actual center frequency will be the sum of the upconverter/downconverter center frequency and the individual channel's OSP shift.
  • Tweaked the user interface / front panel, mainly reducing the size to accomodate lower resolution displays more conveniently.
