Using the 5644r, how to mix the received signal with an arbitrary waveform

Hello,

Using a 5644r Vector Signal Transceiver as a receiver, I am trying to mix the incoming signal with an arbitrary waveform generated by the same 5644r. I connected the RF OUT 0 to the LO IN for the RF IN 0, and the signal I wish to mix into the RF IN 0. When I use the RFSA Soft Front Panel to view the resultant waveform, there is no evidence of mixing.

I can't seem to figure out how to configure the 5644r to use the external LO IN, which is also one of my issues.

Any help on describing a way to mix an incoming signal with an arbitrary waveform or configuring the 5644r to the LO IN for mixing with the baseband signal would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Ian

Ian,

You won't be able to configure an external LO using the SFP, this functionality is limited to the driver APIs.  If using LabVIEW, there is a LO Source property for RFSA.
