GETTING ERROR WHEN CALIBRATING PXI-5652/HP 8563E WITH CAL EXEC

In the Calibration Executive automated procedure for the PXI-5652 card, there are three options to select for the Spectrum analyzer standard.  They are; Unsupported Instrument, Hewlett Packard 8563E and Rohde and Schwarz FSU.  The 8563E and the FSU VI drivers are both loaded in Labview.  When the program is run using the 8563E as the selected standard, I receive an Error 74 from the hp8563e_Reset.vi with a "Labview: Memory or data structure corrupt" message and the program needs to be terminated.

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Hello,

This issue has already been reported to R&D (CAR 277897).  The presence of this device in the calibration procedure within calibration executive is in error. The calibration procedure does not actually support this device for calibration of the PXI-5652.  Moreover, the calibration procedure for the PXI-5652 calls for a spectrum analyzer, so Cal Exec uses a standard list of spectrum analyzers that it uses any time one is called for.  However, the analyzer needed to calibrate the PXI-5652 must meet certain specifications and the HP 8563e does not meet them. Therefore, the problem lies in the fact that the 8563e cannot be used to calibrate the PXI-5652 and that Cal Exec shows the 8563e anyway.
