Hello FreeWindUTS,
This is Dominic L. from Applications Engineering at National Instruments. If your OS does not recognize your bluetooth device neither will LabVIEW. You need to find the correct driver in order for your device to be recognized. To find more information regarding basic bluetooth functions, system requirements and drivers please refer to the link below.

If you see error 59 please make sure that you execute the server before the client. The connection must be opened before the client can search for it. In addition, you should verify that the server address in your client is correct. Are you receiving this error 59 from the client? If not, then which VI is causing this error?

Hello FreeWindUTS,
Unfortunately the LabVIEW PDA Module does not support Microsoft bluetooth drivers. It only works with WIDCOMM drivers. What kind of conflict did you receive when you tried installing the WIDCOMM driver? Was there an error message? Did it timeout?
Any additional information would be much appreciated.
As for your PDA's UUID, you can leave it as it is in the example. It is simply a unique identifier.
Here is a link to a UUID example:

I hope this helps.
If you have further questions please feel free to reply. We would be happy to assist you.
Thanks so much and have a great weekend.

Hi,
I'm using labview in a college project which involves transmitting data from an accelerometer via Bluetooth to a Bluetooth dongle (Belkin F8T009) on a PC or laptop. At the moment I am just trying to use the sample server and client VI's, however I'm having difficulties using the Bluetooth client VI. The server VI seems to be working fine, it successfully finds the Bluetooth address of my dongle and generates a random waveform, unfortunately when I try to run the client VI it keeps returning error 59. I have read the relevant articles and can't seem to figure out why this is happening. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rory

Hi everyone
I wonder if the bluetooth application in LabVIEW can be used in other devices, exclude PDA and computer with LabVIEW?
my idea is that i'm trying to build a labview application to replace to DAQ card function to make my work go wireless..meaning that a device connected with bluetooth module is connected with bluetooth dongleof computer (labview installed)..can can labview read my device?
Any example i can find similiar to that senario?
so is it possible to use the client application in LabVIEW without using server application?if yes, then anyone can show me some example?
thanks~

Hi Dear All,
I am working on Bluetooth module of labview and Symbian 3rd Ed FP2 SDK of Nokia Mobile platform.
Symbian C++ API for "CSdpAgent’s SetRecordFilterL" discovers and filters based on 16-bit UUID of Services adverstied by other Bluetooth devices.Problem that i am facing is that Labview advertieses 128-bit UUID in GUID format so how to handle it in Symbian BT APIs or may be in labview.
How may i advertise 16-bit UUID via Labview.
Thanks & Regards
