Speaker: Steve Seiden (Senior Engineer, Acquired Data Solutions)
Reliable operation and effective data management were crucial to ensure that the Net-Zero Energy House Test Facility reliably gathered over 500 channels of data continuously for an entire year. The system programmatically implemented different control schedules engineers submitted to measure the energy usage simulated by a virtual family. At this session, examine the software architectures and data management best practices used to implement queued state machine design, local onboard data decimation, and extensive use of detailed metadata to ensure results could be referenced and aggregated easily.
