Abstract: W Scientific built a compact time-stretching photonic preprocessor to expand the sampling rate and input bandwidth of the back-end digitizer. Combined with the photonic preprocessor, a 1 Gbit/s electronic digitizer can capture 40 Gbit/s data and beyond with real-time capability.
