The NI RF/Communications Lead User Program has already had a big summer, collaborating with the likes of TU-Dresden on 5G wireless research, Notre Dame on next generation wireless, and more. The lead user program kicks off NIWeek by bringing together other world-renowned wireless researchers for live demonstrations and project sharing. These demos are up for one night only, so be sure to stop by!

  • Software Defined Radio Experts Panel

Tuesday, August 7, 4:45–5:45 p.m., Ballroom F

Hear some of the world’s leading experts on software defined radio (SDR) discuss future challenges of prototyping RF and communications systems as bandwidth, wireless demands, and complexity grow at an exponential rate. Panelist include: Matt Ettus from Ettus Research, Costas Georghiades from Texas A&M University, Ted Rappaport from New York University, Frederick Harris from San Diego State University, and Robert Heath from University of Texas, Austin. The panel will be moderated by James Kimery, director of SDR and RF/communications at National Instruments.
