Feel free to share this invite with any colleagues who may wish to attend.

The topic for the meeting is:

Integrating A Dynamic Tab Control into Your User Interface
Have you ever wanted to design a tab based interface in LabVIEW but were limited by the need to pre-define the number of tabs at design time?  Have you noticed the proliferation of tab based interfaces in web browsers and wanted similar functionality in your applications?  If so, then come learn about the free XTab control by SAPHIR.  This control is available on the LabVIEW Tool Network.  It gives you the ability to generate multiple tabs at run-time in your application and interact with them just like a standard tab control on a windows application. You can rearrange the tabs, tear them off into a separate windows and merge them back.  You can trigger events when a tab is selected by the user and of course close the tab when you are done.

We will demonstrate an application that is making use of these features to see what can be accomplished.  We will then build a simple application from scratch to show how to put this x-control to use in your application.  We will also cover known issues with the XTab control you may encounter and how to work around them.

Feel free to bring your laptops and follow along.  Please download and install the control before attending.  Here is a link to the package: http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/210715

Hope to see you there!
