pxi cntrller.ini

Hi,

I think I need a cntrller.ini file for a PXI-1000B but have no idea where to find it.  I know there's a post in this forum on this issue but every time I try to open the post my browser crashes, no idea why.  So, where can I find such a file?  I'm trying to 'identify' the PXI system in MAX (not 100% sure why but the error code told me to).

Cheers

Hi GlenS,

I would first make sure you've got PXI Platform Services installed on your computer:

PXI Platform Services 2.5 - Windows 2000/Vista x64/Vista x86/XP

http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1322/lang/en

Then shut down your system and your PXI chassis, turn on your PXI chassis first give it a second to boot up, then turn on your computer. At this point the .ini file should be in place and you should be able to identify your chassis. If that doesn't work, post back with more information about what hardware you've got (MXI cards ect.) and the step that produce your error, we should be able to solve this with that information.

Thanks
