help required in pxi 5152

hi to all

i have found one difficulty at the time of understanding modular instruments. i found one point of trigger filter. it mention that some high frq filter and low freq filter and also noise filter. can any body focus what is it? what is the use of this function. what are the basic application areas for it.

in short, i want to know importance of filters in osc.

Hi Sahara,

The filters you described are used to filter out undesired frequencies on your trigger line. The different filters would be used in the case of different types of noise present on the signal. The PXI/PCI 5152 Specifications Manual provides more information about the effects of enabling filtering.
