connecting remote system to host PC on different subnet

Hello,

I need to connect my PXI system to host PC over network. I have also assigned static IP to the PXI target but I could not connect the target to host PC when they are on different subnets. Has anyone ever connected the PXI target to the host PC using different subnets?If it is not possible then how do I connect the system?

What do you mean by not connecting to the target? Does it appear in NI-MAX?

When the target is in a different subnet, you will need to add manually the target in MAX and LabVIEW with the IP address because the auto-recognition won't work.

If the network settings (IP address, masks,...) in your LabVIEW project/NI-MAX are correct, then it must be a network issue (maybe the 2 subnets can't communicate with each other). I would recommend to work with your IT department to troubleshoot it.
