Windows 10 cannot boot with PXI-1042 powered on

Solved!

I have a setup that was working in windows 7 - the communication is over the NI PCIe-8361 card in the computer, to the NI PXI-8360 in the PXI-1042 chassis.  Two NI PXI-7350 motion controllers are in the chassis.  Recently updated the system to windows 10 and now windows cannot boot up if the Chassis is powered on.  It hangs on the windows booting screen, loading icon stops spinning, I have to hard shutdown to abort boot.  If I look into the BIOS log it shows PCIE fatal error.

Without the PXI-1042 chassis powered on, windows boots normally.  Again, this exact hardware setup was working when the computer had win7 installed, so it seems like it is a driver issue.  However, everything I have seen online is that these cards/chassis do not require any drivers for windows to recognize them.  Any suggestions on what to try next?

This is inaccurate. MXI card requires NI PXI Platform Services driver to work. Ensure you use a supported version, which is 15 or later for Win10.

I would recommend you to go through the steps in MXI-Express Compatibility and Connectivity Troubleshooting Guide as well.

Thank you very much for the response.  Following the linked guide lead me to the MXI-Express BIOS Compatibility 2023 Q2 software, and after setting the DIP switch on the PCIe card in the computer, windows was able to boot up and find the devices.
