Thermistors

Hi!  I was wondering if anyone has used two-wire NTC thermistors with a PXI DMM and gotten it to work.  I'm getting very mixed answers regarding whether or not the DMM is capable of producing an excitation current necessary for the thermistors to function.  Most instruction documentation says yes, but there's no mention of what that excitation current is?

What set-up are you using for your thermistors?

Hi taylorll98,

There should be no problem using NTC thermistors with our DMMs and have seen them used multiple times.  What DMM are you using?  The excitation current is defined by the resistance value being tested and will be found in the datasheet of the device.
