Hello,
According to the documentation of the PXIe-1084 chassis, he should appear in the drop-down list "Device and Interfaces".
But it's not the case on mine ! It display devices plugged on it, though.
I want to be sure that is a normal/expected behavior.
Thanks

Hello
This is actually not normal. What chassis are you using?
Also want to figure it out, how did you connected PCI card to your PXIe chassis?
Is this a screenshot from your PXIe controller's OS?

Maybe with this schema it will be more clear ?

Hello
Why did you don't want to connect the monitor, keyboard and mouse direct to PXI controller to avoid such type of issues?

Can you provide a MAX Tech Report? This will let us know what SW is installed and whether the appropriate services are running.
Additionally, I see you're using Fiber cables. I believe you have done this already, but can you confirm that you've set dip switch 3 on the PCIe-8381 to ON per this manual?
Lastly, can you run through are MXI troubleshooting guide? It gives a good number of steps to try when facing MXI enumeration issues.

It looks like you're missing the driver for the PXIe-8381, which is included with PXI Platform Services (sorry, I don't have a link for the installer). Installing that should fix the problem.

Hello Robert,
Before you send me this message, I did a update of NI - max and PXIe-8381 "appear".
But my concern is about the PXIe-1084 chassis.
I just installed this "PXI Platform Services 20.5". But it doesn't fix my problem.
Thanks anyways!

Hello Captain_K,
Yes, of course !
About the "dip switch 3" I did not installed the device myself but again the PCIe-8381 doesn't seems to be the issue, here. (By the way, the PXIe- 6345 card works perfectly fine)
But I appreciate and keep in mind the remark.
MXI troubleshooting is still relevant for the PXIe-1084 chassis ?
