SysMon Error -25001

Solved!
Go to solution

I am trying to use the LabView VIs that come with SysMon 1.1.1.  I have been able to get the Monitor Fans, Monitor Voltage, and Montior Temperature VIs to work.  They all deal with the chassis and the address defaults to PXI0::1.

I get an error "-25001 occurred at Property Node" when I use the Monitor CPU.  The System Controller Resource Name is set to "localhost"  I have a PXIe-8133 controller.

Does MAX have anything to do with the Resource name?  Does "localhost" need to be setup in MAX?  If so where?

I also get this error using LabWindows' NiSysMon_OpenSession.

Hi Paul,

The reason you are getting this error with the controller related VI's is because your PXIe-8133 is not supported by System Monitor. In the readme for SysMon, you'll find a complete list of the controllers and chassis' supported by this API. I've listed them below for you.

Supported chassis:

  • PXI-1042 (with PXI-8250)
  • PXI-1042Q (with PXI-8250)
  • PXI-1045 (with PXI-8250)
  • NI PXIe-1062Q
  • NI PXIe-1065
  • NI PXIe-1075
  • NI PXIe-1082

Supported controllers:

  • NI PXI-8101
  • NI PXI-8102
  • NI PXI-8105
  • NI PXI-8106
  • NI PXI-8108
  • NI PXI-8110
  • NI PXIe-8101
  • NI PXIe-8102
  • NI PXIe-8105
  • NI PXIe-8106
  • NI PXIe-8108
  • NI PXIe-8130

Kind Regards,

I read the readme this morning and saw that the 8133 is not supported.

Why is the newest CPU not support?

Hi again Paul,

I imagine the latest System Monitor API came out before the 8133 controller. Unfortunately, there hasn't been a new version of SysMon since.
