Hello
I use a SMU board and have programmed an application in C#. It runs fine.
When I tried to run DCpower Soft Front Panel while I was running my application, I got an error said that the device has already been in used.
Is this because of a safety issue that I can not run Soft Front Panel and an application for one SUM board at the same time?
Is there any way run both at the same time so that I don’t have to use other device (ie DMMs or handy voltmeters) to test?
I have noticed that I can run Switch Soft Front Panel and an application which uses a switch board at the same time.

As you already witnessed, when you have an application that has an open session of the SMU, this reserves the resource and prevents any other program from accessing it. I would imagine there is more risk to having more than one application controlling an SMU than a relay. Keep in mind that the Switch Soft Front Panel (SFP) enables you to monitor connections on a switch module as you make them, making the Switch SFP a debugging tool, when used with an open session.
