Power Suppy Problem at PXIe-1062q

Hello to all,

I have got the second failure with a power supply at a PXIe-1062q-Chassis.
Does anybody know a general problem with this device?

After turning on the Chassis something sparks inside and the POWER OK LED of the Controller keeps blinking.

Thank you for Information.

Hello HF-Walter,

in the user manual you will find the following set of informations:

• If the inhibit switch LED is steady green (not flashing), the chassis is powered on and operating normally.
• If the inhibit switch LED is flashing green, the air-intake temperature as exceeded the chassis operating range.

• If the inhibit switch LED is flashing red, the power supply outputs are not within voltage regulation requirements.
• If the inhibit switch LED is steady red, the system fans or power supply fan has failed. The remaining fans will automatically be driven high.

I think in your case it´s the second bullet. Please check if your fan work fine and is not covered with anything. Also the chassis should not be covered with anything. Did the chassis stay in a warm environment? Please send me your adress and phone number to Jan.Kniewasser@ni.com to clearify the details if we have to replace or repair your power supply.

Best wishes, Jan Kniewasser
