Possibly naive question about Thunderbolt cable

This question might be kinda naive, but... is there anything special about the Thunderbolt 3 cable that NI provides?  I ask because we're trying to establish communication with our PXIe chassis, and we're stalled right now.  Just wanted to have a better idea of whether the cable might be at fault or not.

Nothing special, just another well built "Thunderbolt 3" cable like you would get from Apple or StarTech.

 

But be warned, not all regular USB C to C cables are thunderbolt compatible.
