Is the PXIe-1088 a direct drop in replacement for the PXIe-1078?

It is almost a drop-in replacement; the key difference is that 1078 has 5 hybrid and 3 express slots whereas 1088 is only express slots.

1088 will work if your cards are PXIe and not the -H variant.
