We are using the PXIe 8821 controller and 1078 chassis to run a piece of equipment that must remain running at all times. We're still in development phase, and have encountered numerous freezes and a few shut down issues. There's nothing too complex with the system, there's digital inputs and outputs, along with 96 analog inputs taken each cycle.
Sometimes it will go for weeks without issue then will randomly go to a black screen, will not allow me to see or do anything. The program becomes unresponsive as well. In one case, the entire chassis even shut down (it's plugged into a UPS).
Originally we ran in Labview as a VI, but we've tried running the .exe version and still the same issue. NI thinks it's a software issue, and the developer thinks it's a hardware issue. It's possible there is a shortage of memory, but from what we've seen under normal running conditions there's still 1gb free of RAM. Any ideas?

First, I'd analyze the code in details. There are many debugging on tools within LV which might be helpful.
