PXIe-8360

Solved!

PWR red LED keeps blinking on PXIe-8360 remote module installed on PXIe-1062Q chassis. The manual says a sold red light means power supply is out of spec but doesn't describe the blinking led issue. Is it that same issue, and if so, how do I solve this?

Hi Pwhitter02,

The PXIe-8360 PWR LED behavior changed to blinking red instead of solid red, but it didn't make it into the manual. So it's the same issue.

There are 2 possibilities -- 1062Q power is bad, or 8360 power is bad. There's a DSUB on the back of the chassis you can use to measure the chassis power rails that might help. If all the rails look good then it's probably damage to the 8360.

Does the chassis LED indicate power is good? Do you get the same result with nothing else in the chassis?

Hi Robert,

The chassis LED light is sold green, and I did check the voltages, so the chassis seems to be ok. It sounds like it's a bad module. Thanks for the help!
