PXIe-5122 DC voltage on trigger line

Solved!
Go to solution

I am trying to set up hardware triggering on PFI0/PFI1.  But I noticed using a voltmeter that those lines have 5V DC (including when configuring that line as a trigger input channel).  I know that the PFI channel can be used for other IO, and sending a signal can potentially damage the scope if the channel is not configured for input.

Is the 5V DC normal for an input channel?  Or should i expect 0V

thanks

I now believe this voltage to be a pull up voltage, therefore it can be ignored.
