PXI doesn't reboot from MAX

I am using a PXI 8110 in a PXI 1042 chassis. Sometimes when I command the PXI to reboot from max, it fails to do so. I have a monitor connected to the PXI, and I can see it display that the "system is shutting down," but it never succeeds in doing so. I have to manually power cycle the PXI. What could be causing this? I am using MAX version 5.5.0f0.

Something on the target side is failing to stop and blocking the shutdown.  What version of LVRT are you using?  I know that I have seen this problem in the past, but I believe that it is fixed with the newer versions of LabVIEW RT.

I'm using LVRT version 13.0.0.

The only other thing that I could suggest is uninstalling each driver one at a time until the problem goes away to help narrow down which module is causing the problem.  Its possible the offending module isn't required for your application.
