Hi all,
We have an aircraft test bench with six real-time systems, each consisting of one RMC-8354 controller associated with PXIe-1065 chassis.
PXI has above tens boards:
* one reflective memory board (PMC-5565PIORC)
* one 6682H board for 1588 time synchronization)
* one MXI board (8360)
* about 4 and 6 acquisition boards (6358 or 6254)
* one or two CRIO board (7813)
Each day we use the system (controller + PXI) to acquire signals and record them on the hard drive controller.
During night we transfer files saved on the controller to a NAS.
This transfer does not need neither PXI nor boards.
If we consider global lifetime of our system what is the best practice to follow in your opinion?
- let PXI and boards supplied during the night (and so all the time) without having the stress of powering off in the evening and powering on in the morning PXI chassis
- or powering off in the evening and powering on the system in the morning to not supplied the PXI chassis and its boards during the night unnecessary
Thank you in advance for your help and advice
