I am upgrading an existing system that uses the Dataforth SCM5B41-03D Analog Voltage Input Module. The upgrade requires eight channels of isolated analog input with modest voltage range (around 0-5V). However, the module analog inputs need to be isolated from the PXI chassis.
The I have two PXI chassis in the system with lots of available slots. I would rather use NI products in the PXI chassis rather than adding additional Dataforth analog modules.
The end item has an isolated ground system that can't connect to the PXI chassis ground system. That is why I need the isolation. The Dataforth uses transformer isolation and chops the input at a high frequency and then runs the transformer output through a low pass filter.
Do you have isolated analog input modules for a PXI chassis?
