I have run into a quite peculiar problem, I am setting up a Neuropixel recording system (see herehttps://e2f49b05-3010-45e2-a7bf-b8f67811425a.filesusr.com/ugd/832f20_ce2feed52995400a9b77f79ca92b019...) that comprises a PXIe-1071 chassis, a NI PCIe-8381 and a PXIe-8381. However, when I turn on the host computer, and the computer is connected to the chassis, the display is blank. If I unplug the connection between chassis and computer the display is fine.
After some trials and errors I realised that if I connect the chassis to the computer after the computer is already on I can make everything work. This prompts an important question: is it ok to connect the chassis to the computer after the computer is already switched on?
