PXI, VXI - Any Relationship?

Is there any relationship between these two types of instrumentation? Can a PXI card be plugged into a VXI chassis? (real newbie!)

Robert,

PXI and VXI have different backplanes and different electrical specifications. You won't be able to use PXI cards in a VXI chassis or vice-versa. However, using MXI-2 or MXI-3, you can control your VXI chassis with your PXI system.
