I have a PXI 1042 chassis that appears to power On when the power switch is depressed, however, the power switch LED does not illuminate.  Is the power switch LED a user replaceable part or does the whole chassis need to be sent back to NI to be repaired.

We can not support you in replacing the LED. If you would like to send in the chassis, you can open an RMA request HERE.
