PXI-GPIB Scan for Intruments grayed out

LabVIEW 18

NI-488.2 17.6

NI-VISA 17

I'm trying to connect devices to my PXI-GPIB card, but I cannot scan for instruments. The button is grayed out. The same is true for the built-in GPIB port on the chassis. I already changed the VISA security settings to allow my system to connect.

Where did you change the VISA security settings, on the host computer or on the chassis?

I have changed the VISA security settings on the remote system and "My system". I'm able to open a VISA Test panel with the PXI Chassis.

What OS are you using on the PXI-8110 controller?

Here is some information that helped another customer who was experiencing the same problem with connecting to GPIB Instruments on his RT target.

It explains that once the remote security has been configured on the RT chassis, a VISA Interactive Control can be used in NI-MAX to test communication with the GPIB instrument. 

Where are we at in the communication process now? What other outstanding questions do you have?
