PXI -8430 into NI-1078-Chassis. Which slot is compatible?

Hello together,
I am about to connect the Serial RS232 PXI-8430 card in our PXI-1078 chassis. There are different slots available. Which one should be used for this particular card?

There is no direct answer for that, you need to specify the application you are working on and the project task, clarify how you are using each module and which one as input module and which as an output.
Also you should clarify what controller you are using with the NI-1078-Chassis? If you don't have exactly a slot on the chassis controller fit the RS-232 you have to us adapter to connect two different types of cables.
Have a look to the features guid, and search for the pinouts part inside the PDF to help on how to do the connections.

As I understand, non-PXI Express cards can be inserted in 'Hybrid' slots, which on the PXIe-1078 chassis can be found on slots 5-9

Agree with Dave, my answer above is for generic cases when the customer wanted to connect one module with another one, in case of several modules project.

It fits in one of the Hybrid slots.
