PXI-8108 and Win7 64 bit

Hi

I have to upgrade from winXP to Win7. It appears that the CPU is 64 bit. I don't know about the address bus or Data Bus of the PXI-8108 back plane.

So, should I upgrade to win7 64 bit or use win 7 32 bit?

Thanks

Hello,

You shouldnt have any problems with the back plane unless you are also comunicating with an SCXI chassis via USB

Hello,

I recently upgraded my PXIe-8108 from XP to Windows 7 64-bit. I cannot find the controller drivers on the NI site and I'm not authorized to view the doc http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/08AAC63E34F4533E8625796B007ECB97. Can you please make this link accessible to all users ?

Best regards,

Luc S

Hi Vahle001 -

Here is the link to the Peripheral Drivers for PXI Controllers that they were referencing above: http://www.ni.com/product-documentation/54571/en/.

If you are simply upgrading the OS on your PXIe Controller you shouldn't need those drivers. Here is an article that explains how to upgrade your OS and it has a link to the corresponding driver that you will need: https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z000000P7ZsSAK
