PXI 2520 Relay operating voltage

Hi all

I have some queries related to PXI 2520 Relay:

a. Maximum switching voltage (channel-to-channel) is given as 150V. Does it mean relay handles only DC Voltages or it is 150 Vrms ? E.g. can it handle 12 KHz 150 Vrms sinusoidal signal also?.

b. Maximum switching power per channel is 60W. We assume it is in continuous mode. How much Power this relay can handle in Pulsed Mode with duty cycle less than 10%?

Thanks & Regards

As per the specifications, it is either 150V DC or ACpk or a combination

Pulsed signals are not defined in the specifications - would be a good question to NI Support

Based on this term, I would still consider the pulsed current also be within 2A,

Hi

Thanks for help.

Taking lead from your reply, can we conclude that keeping current limited to say less than 2A, voltage levels of sinusoidal signals (e.g. 12 KHz) in pulse mode can be Relayed up to 800Vp  (Page-1 of 'NI PXI-2520 Specifications') or equivalently 1600Vpp or 565Vrms.?

Thanks

No, 800Vpk is for transients and not for repetitive voltage like your 12kHz signal.

150Vpk, 2A max is still applicable for your 12kHz signal.

Since your signal is 12kHz, you can expect some level (60dB) of attenuation and cross-talk
