Hi,
I have a PXI-8108 and when I switch it on nothing happens, not even the PWR OK LED lights up. If i plug a network cable in the ACT/LINK LED does flash.
I have tried clearing the CMOS by holding SW2 down for 3 seconds, but still nothing.
Any other ideas I can try before sending it back for repair?
Many thanks,
Sarah

Hi SarahW,
Thanks for your post, it could be a multitude of things, so let's try some basic troubleshooting before you send it off for repair.
Does your PXI chassis turn on when plugged in?
Ideally we want to know whether this power issue is caused by the PXI controller (your PXI-8108), the PXI Chassis, or the power cable.
Kind regards,

Hi Josh,
Many thanks for your reply.
Yes the chassis is fine. I've tried other controllers in the same chassis and the broken controller in other chassis. The problem is definitely the controller.
Regards,
Sarah

Hi Sarah,
This sounds like a simple repair then!
If you contact NI UK Customer Services, they will be able to sort an RMA (Return Material Authorisation) so we can repair your controller. Below is a link to the contact info.
http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/nicc.call_me (You'll want the right column under 'Customer Service').
Let me know if you have any issues with this.
Kind regards,
