PWM Generation with a 5Khz Frequency

Hi,

I have implemented a PWM (Sine- Triangle) on  NI PXI 8108 Controller on a NI PXI 1044 Chassis. I wanted a frequency of 5 Khz ( time period of 200us). But on running it, the time came out to be around 3ms. Is it possible to have PWM waveform produced with time period of less than 200us? Please help.

Thanks and Regards.

Hi,

Is this Windows or RT?  If it is Windows you will find it hard to guarantee the frequency because of the inherent latency in the Windows OS.

What hardware are you using to output your PWM signal?

hello john,

I am using ni pxi 6733 analog output  module to view the output. Now , the problem got sorted out.I have been able to get the period to as low as 5us.

Thanks and regards.
