PT100 with 1581-1300 and 1102-1303

Dear all,

In the manual of the SCXI-1581 is described how to connect a PT100 temperature sensor in combination with a SCXI-1102.

I do have both devices the only issue is that on the 1581 I have a 1300 connection block (as shown in the manual) but on the 1102 I have a 1303 connection block.

My question is simple: Can I use this 1303 connection block for temperature measurements with the PT100's?

Dear Joreon,

I apologize for this delay on your question and hopefully this reply will help you with your problem.

After a search that I did on our database for SCXI-1303 I found that it is possible to use this terminal block for temperature measurements and also found out that the difference between SCXI-1300 and SCXI-1303 regarding the temperature measurement is only the CJS (Cold Junction Sensor) accuracy. You can have look at the manuals below and search extra information regarding the terminal blocks.

- SCXI-1300 manual page 9   (http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/322715a.pdf)

- SCXI-1303 manual page 11 (http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/321923b.pdf)

Also have a look at this manual about calibration procedure because it actually explains how to verify temperature measurements that are acquired from the temperature sensors.

- SCXI-1303 terminal block manual page 3 (http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/370253b.pdf)
