I have a problem regarding formulating/proposing a system which functios as a fuel leak detection system. I hope someone can help me. This is my scenario:
Our client has an existing LDS (leak detection system). They use PAL-AT leak detection/location system. It can detect fuel leaks from fuel pipelines. It uses a special wire (sensing cable) which uses a capillary action to absorb the fuel leaks. This fuel leaks will alter the electrical characteristics of the sensing cable.The PAL-AT, which is a microprocessor based monitoring device, uses the principle of Time-Domain Reflectometry. With these, the device can detect and locate the location of the fuel leak.
Is there a way on how I can implement NI Hardware to imitate PAL-AT? Or is there any other method that I can use to implement leak detection?
